Privacy Policy
PageScore privacy policy: which data the website checker processes, how long it is kept and which rights you have.
PageScore works without cookies for audience measurement, without third-party analytics, without ads and without external services. We only process what is needed for the website analysis, abuse protection and an anonymous visitor count.

2. Which data we process
Visiting the website
When you open pagescore.de, the server processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier) to deliver the page. The web server access logs do not contain your IP address. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation).
Anonymous visitor statistics (no cookies)
To know how often PageScore is used, we count page views directly on our own server: no cookies, no third-party scripts, nothing is stored on your device. We only store:
- Page views per day and page (e.g. "2026-09-30, /seo-checkliste, 12 views").
- Origin per day: only the domain name of the referring website (e.g. "google.com"), never the full address, or "direct" if none was sent.
- Number of unique visitors per day: we build a hash (SHA-256) from IP address and browser identifier together with a random key that changes every day. The IP address itself is not stored. The daily key is deleted when the day is over, so the hash can neither be traced back to your IP address nor linked across days. After two days at the latest the hashes are deleted and only the daily count is kept.
- Automated requests (search engine crawlers, monitoring services) are only counted as one total per day.
The statistics do not allow conclusions about individual people. No user profiles are built and there is no tracking across days or websites. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement and improving the service). Since nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.
Website analysis
- Entered URL and analysis result: stored in a database to provide score history, comparisons and a short cache (10 minutes). The results refer to the analyzed website, not to you. The score history of a domain is visible to everyone who analyzes that domain.
- IP address: stored with the scan to enforce the daily limit of 30 scans per IP address and automatically deleted after two days at the latest. For the per-minute limit (rate limiting), a hash of the IP address is additionally kept in a temporary file for about one minute. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection against abuse and overload).
- Scan statistics: with each scan we store the anonymous daily hash described above (so we can see whether someone starts several scans on one day), the interface language and where the scan was started from (own page, domain name of the referring website or "direct").
- Fetching the analyzed website: our server fetches the entered page plus robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt, favicon and up to 20 linked files. The analyzed website sees the IP address of our server, not yours.
- Preview images in the results: your browser loads the favicon and preview image (og:image) of the analyzed website directly from its server. This transmits your IP address to the operator of that website (without referrer).
Shared reports (optional)
If you click "Create link to report", we create a random link to that analysis result. Anyone with the link can view the report. The page is blocked for search engines (noindex). We delete shared reports on request, just write to us.
Local storage in your browser
The "Your scans" list is stored only on your device: in localStorage and as the cookie ps_scans (lifetime one year). The server does not evaluate this data. The storage is required for the function you use (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
3. No trackers, no third parties
Apart from the anonymous counting on our own server described above, we use no analytics or marketing tools and embed no external services. Fonts are served from our own server as well. No personal data is passed on to third parties.
4. Hosting
The server is located in Germany. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Write to kontakt@pagescore.de. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
6. Deletion
IP addresses are deleted automatically after two days at the latest. The daily key of the visitor statistics is deleted when the day is over, visitor hashes after two days at the latest. The anonymous daily numbers (views, visitors, origin) are kept without time limit. To delete stored analysis results or shared reports, an email is enough.
